Jobseekernews are Spammer Scum

SPEWS lists Jobseekernews. There is justice in the world.

My first spam from resumezapper (aka jobseekernews, aka vawebprop)

Of course, spammer scum know that people will block them after the first couple of spams. They also know that most people only have the ability to block on email address. Because of that, the email address used by spammers morphs frequently to evade filters.

Resumezapper now morphs to usjobboard, but the spam still comes from the same /30 But they are still using an email address which I only provided to monster.com.

Monster's autobot reply about my usjobboard complaint

Monster's denial that they sell info

Strange no response recorded on this one, but the question still stands. Monster.com denied selling info to vawebprop or anyone else. They can still offer any explanation that they'd like to. I'll even post it here, along with any cartooney threats received.

Around October, I gave up on cw.net nuking vawebprop, or monster.com showing that they were telling the truth about not selling info by suing those who they imply stole it, so into my filters went all their iterations and morphs. I had started reporting via spamcop in September, which reduced the spam thanks to the spamcop filters, but every now and then they'd sneak out.

Six months pass

Jobseekernews doesnt give up easily. My friend Dave Null is being fed a continuing stream of jobseekernews spam. Notice how they keep morphing the sending address to get past filters used by people who block on sender address. That's okay. Procmail is lots more flexible than that.

Jobseekernews indicates its remove instructions are horsepuckey. They claim in their mails that you can remove yourself from their lists by email. I grabbed the google cache of one of their pages which clearly states "Unsubscribe requests received via e-mail will not be processed." As was said on nanae, "if your business model calls for you to lie to people, at least try to keep the lies consistent".

Independent verification from the Wayback Machine that jobseekernews has been saying for two years that it would ignore unsubscriptions via email.
